Wrestling Room Upgrades

This past season, MYW had an unprecedented year.  Our program saw tremendous growth with a 30% increase in participation; expanding to accommodate over 100 kids.  We started growing our girls wrestling with 5 participants last year, which we hope to expand and support girls wrestling in the area.  We qualified 14 youth wrestlers for the PA Youth State Championship; a new record!  As a result of our growth and success, we are looking to expand and renovate the Mars Wrestling Room.  We estimate the cost of the facility renovation to be close to $50,000.  These upgrades will not only support our youth program but the JH and Varsity teams as well. We are enlisting your help in our Capital Campaign to raise $25,000 to help offset the cost of the upgrades. This off-season, we are working with various local businesses and volunteers to renovate the high school wrestling room. The planned upgrades include:

Growing our overall footprint by demolishing existing walls

Upgrading and expanding our wrestling mats with brand new Resilite Classic Mats and wall padding

Dedicating space for strength training and climbing ropes

New strength training equpment

Refreshing lights, painting and updating team branding

Installing large format monitors to gather as a group to view high profile wrestling events, advanced technique breakdowns

Integrating speakers for music during practice

All of these additions are going to make our space even better for our wrestlers, but we can only make this possible with the help from all of the program's friends and families.
